Sheerframe

Sheerframe delivers

environmental sustainability

Sheerframe product
  • Resource-efficient EN 14001 kitemarked manufacture
  • 100% recyclable at the end of a long service life
  • Excellent thermal performance in-use
  • Made in the UK
  • Windows fabricated and installed locally

Resource-efficient in its manufacture, Sheerframe creates windows and structures which offer excellent thermal performance over a long lifetime. When buildings reach the end of their life and windows are removed, the windows are virtually 100% recyclable through a nationwide network of collectors and recyclers.

Waste from end-of-life products and the manufacturing process is routinely recycled into building products at low energy cost and minimal performance loss, unlike timber or metals.

L.B. Plastics, the manufacturer of the Sheerframe system, has an accredited Environmental Policy and is kitemarked to EN 14001. L.B. Plastics has a state-of-the-art recycling plant at its Derbyshire headquarters, where it recycles and reforms waste and end of life PVC. Sheerframe products are calcium organic stabilised with L.B. Plastics being the first UK extruder to eschew the use of lead based stabilisation.

What is more, because Sheerframe is supplied and fitted via a network of skilled regionally-based fabricators and installers, installation is delivered locally, using locally-based labour. Take a look at the Sheerframe fabricator network map here.
